Statesville Distribution Services, Inc. (SDS) is a "one stop shop" for your distribution and warehousing needs, which can trace its roots back over 100 years to Holland Transfer Company, which began serving the Statesville, NC area in 1907.
S.R. Holland started Holland Transfer Company in 1907 with a team of horses and a drayage wagon. He joined his brother W.R. Holland in 1912 and formed Holland Brothers, which grew to 7 horses and wagons until 1915 when the first trucks became available. The company hauled primarily coal, wood and cotton.
In 1941, Holland Transfer and Storage organized by W.R. Holland and his brother R.B Holland Sr. The company was located at 916 Salisbury Road, in the heart of Statesville, NC about 3 miles from Holland Transfer's current location.
In 1986, the owners R.B Holland and C.L. Poole constructed a 90,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center located at the current location of 2088 Salisbury Highway (Old Highway 70) in Statesville, NC. The current office, cross dock and tractor shop were added in 1988.
In January 2007, current owner Jeff Harvey "spun off" the distribution center that was formerly Holland Distribution, into the separate company that is known today as Statesville Distribution Services, Inc. SDS continues to steadily grow with the addition of a 74,000 square foot facility on Garner Bagnel Road in Statesville, NC in October of 2007.

Our warehouse service allows you to move what's needed while insuring the security of the rest of your inventory. Our facility is fully secured with a monitored burglar alarm and sprinkler system. We are equipped to handle a variety of services including both truck and container freight.
Our location has become a strong asset for our company as well as our customers. Statesville has been labeled the "Crossroads of the Future". Statesville Distribution is located at the intersection of I-40 and I-77 and just outside North Carolina's major cities. We are also accessible to I-85 from Highway 70.
